COWBOY JUNKIES PERFORMED A FREE CONCERT AT THE 7TH ANNUAL IDAHO® POTATO DROP

NEW YEAR’S EVE IN DOWNTOWN BOISE, IDAHO

Idaho’s signature holiday event that can only be truly experienced LIVE at the Idaho State
Capitol! The Idaho® Potato Drop is a free and charitable world-class New Year’s Eve destination that supports local arts, business and charities.

KTVB was on hand broadcasting live across NBC stations in Cecil D. Andrus Park featuring
music, sporting events and live art performances. Starting at 3:00 PM, the Grown In Idaho®
Main Stage came to life with live music, while athletes tested their meddle at the Urban-Air 2020
Ski and Snowboard Exhibition hosted by White Claw. This cutting-edge snow park is the first of
it’s kind, utilizing tow-in winch systems and custom-built features from Olympic Snow Park
designer Ryan Neptune of Gateway Parks and top athlete Mason Kennedy of Onslaught Crew.
McCall Winter Carnival dazzled crowds with world-class ice sculpting, while Wrestle Club battled once again for the “Potato Belt Championship”. There was much fun to be had with activities and non-profit vendor booths in the free, heated Mountain America Credit Union Family Tent. People sampled delicious local food and beverage in the food court after touring the all ages beer garden and vendor camp located throughout the park.  There were plenty of photo opportunities with Spuddy Buddy and the Big Idaho® Potato Truck!

The Eagle Rock Girls joined us in our elegant VIP Room with craft-cocktails, Hors d’oeuvre’s from Big Daddy’s BBQ and live entertainment. VIP guests experience 360 degree views from inside our crystal clear tent, while enjoying intimate acoustic performances from The Rice Brothers and Matt Hopper. DJ Jett Rokk  blasted off from the new LED dance floor and into orbit with a Jett-fueled setlist. VIP guests won big prizes like a snowboard Tamarack Resort mountain passes and a night in the Idaho® Potato Hotel!

At 6:00PM, the world-famous #GlowTato flew to its evening perch during the Idaho® Potato Rise. Shortly after, the inaugural Idaho® Potato Drop 5K race  began. As midnight approached, world-renown recording artists Cowboy Junkies serenaded Spec-Taters into 2020. As the countdown to new year began, Inland Crane ‘Dropped’ it like it’s hot to a World-Class Fireworks display!
