A fifth-generation Farm Kid from east-central Illinois, JettRokk cut his teeth dropping ’70’s AM Gold and Eighties Top 40 for provincial crowds in church basements and sleepy-hamlet social halls, before graduating to Midwestern-collegiate house parties and indie/alt-rock dives. After a decade spinning in the lofts and proto-Hipster hangouts of mid-nineties Manhattan, Jett rocked one-off sets for private and corporate clients in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Munich Germany and Liverpool and Birmingham UK while holding down residencies in Champaign Illinois. Now firmly ensconced in Portland Oregon, with a monthly residency at the white-hot No Vacancy Lounge (Willamette Week’s 2018 Bar of The Year), JettRokk routinely delivers sonically seismic sets of auditory escapism for appreciateurs of jazz, funk, disco, downtempo dub and house… with a constant nod to his roots, of course.
